Tokyo Electron Limited, a leading Japan-based computer reseller, announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement with Data Domain to resell the company's DD200 Restorer disk-based recovery appliance.

Palo Alto, CA October 14, 2004 -- Tokyo Electron Limited, a leading Japan-based computer reseller, announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement with Data Domain to resell the company's DD200 Restorer disk-based recovery appliance.

The DD200 is the industry's first disk-based recovery solution that enables users to fully recover data at speeds typically reserved for high-end storage devices at a cost similar to tape automation. Speed-of-data-recovery and the ability to store up to 23 TB of data on site are the primary reasons Data Domain customers say they have made the company's new recovery appliance an integral part of their backup and recovery strategy.

Remote office data backups and disaster recovery strategies are both efficient and cost-effective with the Replicator. Up to 99% of the network bandwidth used by general disk-based backup/recovery solutions can be saved.
